Fundamental, application-oriented and applied research is conducted within the domain of “healthy food and living environment” at Wageningen University. The scientific quality of Wageningen University is assured by its six graduate schools. One of the Departments of Wageningen University is the Social Sciences Department comprising of 21 disciplinary chair groups in economics, management, sociology and environmental sciences. The chairs of Marketing and Consumer Behavior and Business Management & Organisation participate in this initiative. In the academic year 2018/2019, there were 12000 students, of which 4000 from outside The Netherlands representing more than 100 different nationalities. In addition, there were 2000 PhD students within the organisation.
