TKI Agri&Food is a not-for-profit legal entity (a foundation under Dutch law) that organises research and innovation in the whole food chain in Agriculture and Food. It does so in a triple helix modus within Business, Science and Government, and in the areas of Fundamental research, Applied research, and Valorisation. The number of employees is very limited since FTE’s are hired from supporting organisations. The agenda that is being executed is the so-called Innovation contract (in Dutch, at www.tki-agrifood.nl/downloads) that contains 11 roadmaps, dealing with Side-stream valorisation, Resource efficiency, Sustainable trade, Animal husbandry, Chain and market innovations, Human health, Product technology, Food safety, production technology, Consumer sciences and Internationalisation.
